Who I Am
While you obviously want to hire the right person for the job; it’s just as important to hire the right person for the team. To do this you need to know who you’re hiring, not just the skills they possess. Below I outline some of the biggest aspects that make me, me.
Current Greatest Achievement
I am a firm believer in always pushing yourself to be better. The phrase, happy but never satisfied is one I try to live my life by, hence why this is only my current greatest achievement. I fully intend to strive for something greater.
This past June I competed the Rim-to-Rim hike. A little over 10 hours and 22 miles later I had hiked from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon to the North Rim. Not going to lie, I cried a little when I reached the North Rim trailhead. After months of preparation, it was an amazing feeling to be done. If you or anyone you know wants to do it, I will happily do it again!
Former Achievements:
Making it across the pond skim
Competing in the Miss New Jersey pageant
Winning a collegiate ballroom dance competition in silver
Completing a marathon
Going sky diving
Learning to sing my ABC’s backwards
Just for Fun
When I was younger I heard the saying “Jack of all trades master of none, better than a master of one”, and I guess it stuck with me. Throughout the years I have picked up multiple different hobbies and interest. The list is long, but some of the big hitters are:
Being a bridesmaid (not normally considered a hobby, but I’m on my 6th time so I’m going to count it. Let me know if you want to see the powerpoints)
Genetics
Skiing/snowboarding
Baking
Pole vaulting
Backpacking
Camping
Hiking
Running
Crocheting
Reading
Plants (very specifically trying my best to keep them alive)
Photography
Dancing
Ask me about them and we can talk for hours. Consider this your warning.
The Pup
My “about me” wouldn’t be complete without mentioning my dog. Whether it’s going for a run or relaxing on the couch my dog Nessie is my forever co-pilot. If she’s allowed to be there she is. Many of my outdoor adventures consist of having her attached at my waist (literally). I’m still trying to find an activity that will tire her out, to no avail.
Personality
In case you want some “hard evidence” as to whether I will be a good fit for your team or not, here are the different outcomes of my psychology personality tests.
Myers-Briggs: ENTJ (Commander)
Personality type: Type B personality but Type A when needed
Enneagram: 8 (Challenger or Protector), leaning 6 (Loyalist)
